Free Crochet Tutorial: Snowman Olaf by Oksana (@serena_toys)
Follow this guide to crochet a Snowman Olaf from the movie Frozen. For amigurumi, you can use any cotton yarn such as YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others.
Materials Needed:
- Yarn (YarnArt Jeans: white, orange, brown, black)
- Crochet hook (2 mm)
- 8 mm safety eyes
- Toy stuffing
- Needle for attaching parts

- Make a chain of 18 ch.
- From the second ch from the hook, crochet 3 slsts.
- 4 ch, in the second ch from the hook, crochet 4 slsts.

- Crochet to the end of the row with 15 slsts, turn.
- Ch 1, crochet 15 slsts in the back loop.
Tuft (Hair)
- Make a chain of 9 ch, then start crocheting from the second ch from the hook, making 8 slsts.
- Next, crochet a chain of 10 ch, and make 10 slsts in the second ch from the hook.
- Finally, crochet a chain of 8 ch, and crochet 8 slsts in the second ch from the hook.
Assembling the Toy
- Shape the head.
- Make indentations where the eyes will go.
- Attach the beads and buttons.
- Sew the nose and tuft of hair in place.
- Embroider the mouth and eyebrows.
- Sew all parts together, and your Snowman Olaf is ready!
