Free Crochet Pattern: Plush Bunny “Dreamy Bunny”

Designed by Marina Chuchkalova (@muscrochetwonders).

Using this pattern, you can crochet a plush sleeping bunny with a hook. The pattern is ideal for amigurumi plush yarn such as Himalaya Dolphin Baby or Yarn Art Dolce. All parts are crocheted in a spiral, with the arms and legs attached directly to the body during crocheting.

Finished size: Approximately 30 cm.

Materials and Tools

  • Yarn: Himalaya Dolphin Baby or Yarn Art Dolce in cream (1 skein) and peach (30 g)
  • Embroidery thread for the face
  • Crochet hook: 3.5 mm
  • 10 mm safety eyes
  • Stuffing for toys
  • Needle for sewing parts together
  • Scissors

Amigurumi Plush Bunny Crochet Instructions

Legs (Make 2)

Using peach yarn. Stuff as you go.

  1. Chain 5. Starting from the 2nd chain from the hook: 3 sc, 3 sc in the last chain. Continue on the other side of the chain: 2 sc, inc (10).
  2. Inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc (16).
  3. Switch to cream yarn. In BLO: 1 sc, inc, 2 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 3, 2 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 2 (22).
  4. Row 4-5: Sc in each stitch (22).
  5. Row 6: 6 sc, 4 dec, 8 sc (18).
  6. Row 7: 5 sc, 3 dec, 5 sc, dec (14).
  7. Row 8: 5 sc, dec across 3 sc, 6 sc (12).
  8. Row 9-10: Sc in each stitch (12).
  9. Row 11: 10 sc, dec (11).
  10. Row 12-13: Sc in each stitch (11).
  11. Row 14: Dec, 9 sc (10).
  12. Row 15-16: Sc in each stitch (10).
  13. Row 17: Dec, 8 sc (9).
  14. Row 18-19: Sc in each stitch (9).

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Flatten the open edge and sew across to close.

Arms (Make 2)

Using cream yarn. Stuff as you go.

  1. 6 sc in MR (6).
  2. 6 inc (12).
  3. Row 3-5: Sc in each stitch (12).
  4. Row 6: (2 sc, dec) x 3 (9).
  5. Row 7-19: Sc in each stitch (9).

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Flatten the open edge and sew across to close.

Ears (Make 2)

Using cream yarn. Do not stuff.

  1. 6 sc in MR (6).
  2. (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9).
  3. (2 sc, inc) x 3 (12).
  4. (3 sc, inc) x 3 (15).
  5. (4 sc, inc) x 3 (18).
  6. (5 sc, inc) x 3 (21).
  7. Row 7-11: Sc in each stitch (21).
  8. Row 12: (5 sc, dec) x 3 (18).
  9. Row 13-15: Sc in each stitch (18).
  10. Row 16: (4 sc, dec) x 3 (15).
  11. Row 17-19: Sc in each stitch (15).
