Using this pattern, you can crochet a plush bunny with a heart-shaped bib. The pattern is ideal for any plush yarn, such as Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, Etrofil Yonca Baby, or similar. Create a boy bunny in blue or a girl bunny in pink, adding a decorative bow if desired.

The entire toy is crocheted in a spiral using plush yarn, with the bunny’s face made from soft yarn like Softy and the bib from cotton blend yarn.

Finished Size: Approximately 24–25 cm tall, with ears measuring 14 cm.

Attach arms and legs to the body using thread jointing. Position the arms 1 row below the head and the legs 6 rows from the bottom.


Bib

  1. In MR: Ch 3, 5 dc. Tighten the ring and turn.
  2. In the first stitch: 1 sc, ch 2, 1 dc. In each remaining stitch: 2 dc. Turn.
  3. In the first stitch: 1 sc, ch 2, 1 dc. Then: 1 dc, inc across the row.

For the ties:

  • Work 13 sc along the flat side of the bib. Turn.
  • Ch 2, work 13 hdc.
  • For each tie: Ch 25, then work 24 sc back along the chain.

Optional: Add an edge using (1 sc, ch 3).


Heart

  1. In MR: Ch 3, 3 tr, 3 dc, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 3 dc, 3 tr, ch 2, 1 sc.

Tighten the ring and leave a long tail for sewing. Attach the heart to the center of the bib.
