Amigurumi Cat and Bunny Free Pattern

Try these free amigurumi animals patterns and learn how to crochet a cat and bunny as a perfect gift for all little ones to treasure. The clothes of the crochet cat and bunny are non-removable. Legs and body are worked in one piece together. The finished amigurumi toys are about 10 cm without ears.

• Yarn: Alize Cotton Gold (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 100 g/330 m) or YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m)
• Hook size: 1.5 mm
• 5-6 mm safety eyes
• Black and pink embroidery thread
• Tapestry needle and scissors
• Pink pastel crayon for ears (optional)

Legs and Body (one piece)

Legs (make 2)

With pink yarn:

• R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
• R 2: (1 sc, inc) * 3 (9)
• R 3: 9 sc
• Change to white yarn (for the cat) or to pants color (for the bunny):
• R 4-5: 9 sc

Don’t cut the yarn when you finish the second leg!

From the second leg: 3 ch, join with the first leg. Continue crocheting the body in the round:

Skirt for the cat

Attach the red yarn to the front loop of R 10 and crochet 3 rows with 30 sc in a spiral.

Straps for the pants (make 2)

With pants color yarn:

• Leave a yarn tail in the beginning to sew the strap in place.
• Make 19-22 ch.

Tail for the Bunny

With white yarn:

Bow for the Bunny

With pants color:

• In magic circle: 2 ch, 2 hdc, 2 ch, sl st, 2 ch, 2 hdc, 2 ch, sl st
• Pull the magic circle.
• Wrap the middle of the bow a few times with yarn.
• F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly (Cat)

• Using a pink thread, embroider a nose in the center of the face between R 9 and R 10. Embroider a line to the mouth in 2 stitches down with black thread. Then embroider a smile, whiskers, and eyebrows.
• Sew the tail to the back of the body between R 8 and R 9.
• Sew the head to the body, the ears to the head, from R 2 to R 8. Finally, sew the arms to the body between R 17 and R 18.

Assembly (Bunny)

• Embroider a nose between R 9 and R 10 of the head with pink thread.
• Using black thread, embroider a line from the nose in 3 stitches. Then embroider eyebrows.
• Sew the head to the body, the ears on the head between R 3 and R 4. Next, sew the arms to the body between R 17 and R 18, the bow to the neck.
