Amigurumi Bull Senya

This plush amigurumi bull named Senya is crocheted using Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn with a 3.5 mm crochet hook. The bull is about 50 cm tall, excluding the horns. The legs are movable thanks to the use of joints, and youโ€™ll also find instructions for making a Christmas hat for Senya in this pattern.

Materials Needed:

  • Yarn: Himalaya Dolphin Baby (3.5 skeins) and Himalaya Koala (white for finishing)
  • Crochet Hook: 3.5 mm
  • Safety Eyes (approximately 20 mm or larger)
  • Black Yarn for embroidering eyebrows and eyelashes
  • Joints for the legs
  • White Felt for eye sclera (optional)
  • Sewing Needles, Scissors, and Threads
  • Stuffing (fiberfill)

Start by crocheting the hooves in a contrasting color:

Crochet the mouth in the same color as the muzzle:

Assembly and Shaping

  1. Attach the muzzle below the eyes and proceed with the shaping.
  2. Perform 3 rounds of shaping with a large needle and strong yarn (YarnArt Jeans or similar). The thread should pass over the eyes and mouth to create expressive features.
  3. Attach the head to the body securely.
  4. Attach the arms right under the head, above the legs.
  5. Attach the ears on either side of the head, a few rows above the eyes.
  6. Attach the horns above the ears.
  7. Optionally, create a small woolen tuft using merino wool for a fun touch and attach it firmly to the head.

Christmas Hat (Optional)

Crochet the Christmas hat using the same color as the shirt:

  1. Chain 72 and join into a circle.
    2-5. 72 sc for 5 rounds (72)
  2. (10 sc, 8 ch, skip 8 sc, 25 sc, 8 ch, skip 8 sc, 21 sc) (72)
    7-24. Continue in a pattern, making decreases and shaping the hat.
  3. Close the hat, leaving a small opening to attach the pompom.

Pom-pom: Crochet a small white pompom with Himalaya Koala yarn and attach it to the tip of the hat.
