Cat Pink Amigurumi Free Pattern

I wanted to share a free amigurumi pattern with you here. In this article, I’ll provide a detailed step-by-step guide for one pattern. At the end, I’ll also share additional amigurumi patterns to inspire your creativity!

Materials

• Colors of Yarn: Pink, sky blue, black, white
• Eyes: 8mm safety eyes
• Crochet Hook: 2.5mm
• Tools: Scissors, yarn needle
• Filling: Polyester fiberfill

Abbreviations

• sc: Single crochet
• BO: Hazelnut stitch
• ch: Chain stitch
• MR: Magic ring
• dec: Decrease
• inc: Increase
• st: Stitch
• FLO: Work in front loops only
• BLO: Work in back loops only
• hdc: Half double crochet
• sl-st: Slip stitch
• Fo: Finish off
• 3 dc tog: 3 double crochets together

Body and Legs (Make 2)

1. Using pink yarn: MR, 6 sc
2. 6 inc (12 sc)
3. 12 sc for 9 rounds (12 sc)
4. For the first leg: Cut the thread. For the second leg: Do not cut the thread; instead, ch 3 to join the legs.
5. Rnd 12: 12 sc on the first leg, 3 sc on the chain, 12 sc on the second leg, 3 sc on the other side of the chain (30 sc)
6. Rnd 13-17: 30 sc
7. Rnd 18: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24 sc)
8. Rnd 19-21: 24 sc
9. Rnd 22: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18 sc)
10. Rnd 23: 18 sc
11. Rnd 24: (sc, dec) x 6 (12 sc)
12. Rnd 25: 12 sc

Head

1. Using pink yarn: Rnd 26: 12 inc through FLO (24 sc)
2. Rnd 27: (inc, 3 sc) x 6 (30 sc)
3. Rnd 28: (inc, 4 sc) x 6 (36 sc)
4. Rnd 29: (inc, 5 sc) x 6 (42 sc)
5. Rnd 30-36: 42 sc
6. Place safety eyes between Rnds 32 and 33.
7. Embroider facial details.
8. Rnd 37: (dec, 5 sc) x 6 (36 sc)
9. Rnd 38: (dec, 4 sc) x 6 (30 sc)
10. Rnd 39: (dec, 3 sc) x 6 (24 sc)
11. Rnd 40: (dec, 2 sc) x 6 (18 sc)
12. Rnd 41: (dec, sc) x 6 (12 sc)
13. Finish filling the head.
14. Rnd 42: 6 dec and close.

Arms (Make 2)

1. Using pink yarn: MR, 6 sc
2. Rnd 2: (inc, 2 sc) x 2 (8 sc)
3. Rnd 3-13: 8 sc
4. Cut, leaving a long thread for sewing.

Ears (Make 2)

1. Using pink yarn: MR, 6 sc
2. Rnd 2: (inc, sc) x 3 (9 sc)
3. Rnd 3-4: 9 sc
4. Rnd 5: (inc, 2 sc) x 3 (12 sc)
5. Cut, leaving a long thread for sewing.

Vest

1. Using gray yarn: Ch 26, starting from the third ch from the hook: 24 hdc. Ch 2 and turn.
2. Row 2: 3 hdc, ch 5 (skip 5 sts), 8 hdc, ch 5 (skip 5 sts), 3 hdc.
3. Row 3: 24 hdc.
4. To finish, crochet around the vest in sc for neatness, except for the neckline, which is done in sl-st.

Assembly

• Sew the arms and ears to the body.
• Put the vest on your creation.
