Crack Bars

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line an 8×8-inch (20x20cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
  1. Mix the Base Layer:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir in the crushed graham crackers until the mixture is evenly moistened.
  1. Bake the Base:
  • Press the mixture into the prepared pan to form an even layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let it cool slightly.
  1. Melt the Topping:
  • While the base is cooling, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter (if using) together in the microwave or over a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  1. Spread the Topping:
