Free Crochet Pattern: Little Plush Bull

Using this pattern, you can crochet a plush bull amigurumi. You can use any plush yarn suitable for crochet.

The designer offers different ways to style the face:

  • Eyes with or without a white background.
  • A nose with embroidered nostrils or a nose ring.
    Using special hardware, you can also turn it into a keychain.

Finished Size: Approximately 13 cm.


Materials and Tools

  • Plush Yarn: Himalaya Dolphin Baby
  • 80337 – Brown
  • 80343 – Dark Brown
  • 80301 – White
  • 80317 – Light Brown
  • Thin yarn for sewing details
  • Fluffy yarn for the tail
  • Crochet hooks: 4 mm and 2 mm
  • Safety eyes: 6-8 mm
  • Stuffing
  • Needle for sewing parts
  • Scissors

Stitch Abbreviations

  • MR – Magic Ring
  • ch – Chain
  • sl st – Slip Stitch
  • sc – Single Crochet
  • dec – Decrease
  • inc – Increase
  • (…) x n – Repeat the instructions inside the parentheses n times

Pattern Instructions

Arms (Make 2)

Start with dark-colored yarn:

  1. 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. 6 sc (6)

Switch to main color:
3-6. 6 sc (4 rounds)

Fold the piece in half and crochet 3 sc through both sides.

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Do not stuff the arms.


Ears (Make 2)

Using main color:

  1. 6 sc in MR
  2. 6 inc (12), sl st

Fasten off and cut the yarn.


Legs (Make 2)

Start with hoof color:

  1. 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. 6 sc (6)

Switch to main color:

  1. 6 sc (6)
  2. (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)

Finish the first leg by fastening off the yarn. On the second leg, continue crocheting the body.


Body

  1. Ch 2, join the legs: 10 sc on the first leg, 2 sc along the chain, 10 sc on the second leg, 2 sc along the other side of the chain (24)
  2. (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
  3. 30 sc (30)
  4. 29 sc, 4 ch, sl st into the second ch from the hook, 3 sl st, then sl st into the same stitch (creates the tail), 1 sc (30)

The tail should be positioned between the legs!

9-12. 30 sc (4 rounds)

  1. (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)
    14-15. 24 sc (2 rounds)

Attach the arms:

  1. 4 sc, crochet 3 sc together with the arm, 9 sc, crochet the second arm with 3 sc, 5 sc (24)
    17-19. 24 sc (3 rounds)
  2. (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)

Stuff the body as you go.

Attach the ears:

  1. 4 sc, crochet 2 sc together with the folded ear, 7 sc, crochet the second ear, 3 sc (18)
  2. (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)

If you plan to use safety eyes, insert them now between rounds 19 and 20. Continue stuffing.

Close the hole, fasten off, and hide the yarn tail.


Snout

Using light brown yarn:

  1. Ch 4, inc in the second ch from the hook, 1 sc, 4 sc in the last ch, continue on the other side, 1 sc, inc (10)
  2. 1 sc, inc, 1 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 1 sc, inc, 1 sc (14)
  3. 14 sc (14), sl st

Fasten off and cut the yarn.


Eyes (Optional, Make 2)

If you’ve already attached safety eyes, skip this step.
Using white yarn:

  1. 6 sc in MR, sl st

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Insert safety eyes.


Horns (Make 2)

Using cotton yarn and a 2 mm hook:

  1. 6 sc in MR
  2. 6 sc (6)
  3. (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
    4-5. 9 sc (2 rounds)

Stuff lightly. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.


Assembly

  • Attach the safety eyes between rounds 19-20.
  • Sew the snout below the eyes, stuffing it as you go.
  • Sew the horns onto the top of the head, just above the ears.
  • For the tail: attach a small piece of fluffy yarn at the end of the tail and brush it to make it fluffy. Trim as needed.

Optional Additions:

  • Attach a chain or loop to turn it into a keychain.
  • Add a ring to the snout or ear.
