Knitting Description: Amigurumi Pants and Shirt for Toys
Pants
Since bunnies come in different sizes and body proportions, I recommend trying on the pants while knitting to make adjustments as needed.
- Start: Cast on 66 chain stitches and join them into a circle with a slip stitch.
- Round 1: 2 chain stitches, 65 half double crochets, join with a slip stitch (66).
- Round 2: 2 chain stitches, 65 half double crochets, join with a slip stitch (66).
- Continue without chain stitches at the beginning of each round, joining with a slip stitch.
- Round 3: (2 single crochet, increase) x 22 times (88).
- Rounds 4-22: 88 single crochets.
- At this point, I recommend trying on the pants. They should fit around the legs. If they don’t, add a few more rounds.
- For the legs, leave 40 stitches on each side, and join the remaining 8 stitches at the back with a purl stitch.
- Now knit each leg separately. Adjust the length as needed based on the fit.
- Rounds 1-8: 40 single crochets.
For the straps: Cast on 60 chain stitches. In the 9th stitch from the hook, make 1 half double crochet, then make 51 more half double crochets. Attach the straps to the pants and fasten with buttons.
