Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add pasta and cook according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. Prepare the Chicken
- Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown and cooked through (about 4-5 minutes per side). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan for extra flavor.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
4. Combine Everything
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, use the reserved pasta water to loosen it to your desired consistency.
5. Garnish & Serve
- Sprinkle fresh basil over the top for a burst of color and flavor.
- Serve immediately and watch the compliments roll in!
