Poivrons Fries to Pizza

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Bell Pepper Fries:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the bell peppers in half, remove the seeds and ribs, and slice them into long strips, resembling fries.
  3. Place the bell pepper strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Toss the bell peppers gently to coat them evenly with the seasoning.
  5. Roast the peppers in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly charred on the edges. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

2. Assemble the Pizza:

  1. Once the bell pepper fries are done, remove them from the oven and arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the bell pepper fries.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the peppers.
  4. Add your desired pizza toppings—black olives, pepperoni, red onions—and finish off with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick if you like.

3. Bake the Pizza:

  1. Return the assembled pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bell peppers are lightly charred.

4. Serve and Enjoy:

  1. Once baked, remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil or parsley for an extra pop of flavor and color.
  2. Slice up your cheesy, bell pepper “fries” pizza and serve it as an appetizer, snack, or a fun meal.
