Free Crochet Workshop: Mini Snowman by Marina Tyuleneva (@foxboxru89)
In this tutorial, you will learn how to crochet an adorable snowman with a hat and scarf. For amigurumi, any cotton-blend yarn will work well, such as YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others. The entire toy is crocheted, while the scarf is knitted with needles.
The finished toy will be approximately 12 cm tall.
Materials and Tools
- Yarn: YarnArt Jeans (White, Orange, Blue)
- Crochet hook: 1.75 mm
- Knitting needles: 2 mm (for the scarf)
- Safety eyes: 5 mm
- Stuffing for the toy
- Cardboard or plastic (for the hat brim)
- Decorative buttons (optional)
- Glue
- Needle for sewing parts together
- Scissors

Tighten the hole and hide the thread.

Stuff only the palm of the hand. Start with pink yarn.

Switch to white yarn.

Leave a long tail for sewing. Finish the mitten by attaching the yarn to the first front loop of Round 5: 9 sc. Secure the thread and hide the end.
Sew the arms to the body.
Nose
Crochet with orange yarn. Do not stuff.
- Round 1: 6 sc in KA (6)
- Round 2: 6 sc (6)
- Round 3: (2 sc, inc) x 2 (8)
Leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the nose to the face and embroider a smile and eyebrows.
Scarf
Cast on 6 stitches with knitting needles.
- Row 1: k, 4 knit, k (6)
Repeat Row 1 until the scarf reaches the desired length. Bind off stitches and hide the yarn ends.
Place the scarf on the snowman and sew it in place.
Hat
- Round 1: 6 sc in KA (6)
- Round 2: inc x 6 (12)
- Round 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)

Take a plastic or cardboard piece, wrap it around to create the brim of the hat, and cut out the bottom.

Glue the brim to the inside of the hat.
