Amigurumi Teddy Bears Pattern

Yarn Usage

  • Teddy H 40 cm: 250 g
  • A few meters of black yarn for the mouth, nose, and eyebrows.

Materials

  • Filling: Polyester fiberfill
  • Eyes: 14 mm safety eyes
  • Crochet Hook: 3.0 – 3.5 mm

  • cr: Magic ring
  • ch: Chain stitch
  • t-ch: Turn chain stitch (1 ch, then turn the work)
  • sl st: Slip stitch
  • dc: Double crochet
  • 2 dc inc: Increase (2 dc in one st)
  • dc 2 tog: Decrease (2 dc worked together)
  • *…*: Repeat instructions within brackets for the whole round/row or as indicated.
  • (..): Total number of stitches at the end of the line.

  • Finishing: Join the round with a sl st, leave a 20 cm yarn tail, and cut. Pull the yarn through the stitch.

Add the eyes after Round 46, ensuring 8 stitches between them. Use a coin to press the stoppers securely.

Shaping the Head and Eye Hollows

  1. Thread a needle with ~25 cm of yarn.
  2. Insert the needle under the chin and out at the side of the eye.
  3. Guide the thread around some stitches by the eye and back under the chin. Tighten to form the hollow.
  4. Repeat for the other eye.

Tip: For deeper hollows, repeat the process and add a stitch towards the top of the eye.
